Zach is a fitness enthusiast and has a passion for helping people reach their goals. He was involved in a variety of sports, but his journey to become a Navy Seal changed his life forever. This is where he found out how deep motivation will take a person. Although he was never able to join due to a color blindness deficit that was unknown to him, the years of training physically, mentally and emotionally, brought out the best of him.
While playing rugby for University of Maryland, Zach had another life changing event- he tore his ACL. It was the first time Zach had to go through physical therapy, and he fell in love with what physical therapists do- implementing exercises and other modalities to help people recover from their injury. He knew that this was what he wanted to do for the rest of his life and pursued it feverishly. Zach is currently a student of physical therapy at Saint Francis University.
As Zach was preparing for PT school, he began personal training and joined the explosive performance (EP) athletic training group at Sport and Health. This was a great learning experience for Zach because he was able learn from experienced personal trainers as well as EP’s mentoring workshops from leaders in the health industry. Zach holds multiple certifications including: National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM)- Certified Personal Trainer and Corrective Exercise Specialist, Functional Movement Screening – Levels I & II, and he is a crossfit level 1 trainer.
